World Refugee Day Display at Newcastle Campus Library

In conjunction with the Welfare faculty, Newcastle Campus Library is hosting a display for World Refugee Day, this Tuesday 19th June.

Events will begin at 11.00 am. There will be guest speakers from refugee and humanitarian groups, plus a range of information stands and displays.

While the coastal area of the Hunter was receiving more than its fair share of rain, the Upper Hunter was experiencing an unusual fall of snow.

Flooding in the Hunter Institute

Because of the flooding over the past few days, some of the libraries and campuses of the Hunter Institute are closed. Singleton campus is open, however the library is closed.

Hamilton, Glendale and Wyong are all closed.

Maitland library is open although it has industrial dryers working so is a bit noisy. Gosford is open although without server access, so no email.

Newcastle campus is open. There are some doubts about the Hunter Street library. We will keep you posted when we know more. Belmont is open but leaky. Kurri Kurri is open with some leaks but no damage.

Unicorn training! Tips and tricks.

For Library staff who still need to attend training in Unicorn, it makes a big difference if you have viewed the videos from TLS before you go. Also when we go live, the first thing we will all probably do is change the colours on the screen. When you do this, don’t choose Classic from the list of options. It stops the system from proceeding properly.

Please use this site to add any other tips and tricks that you have found that will help us all come up to speed faster.
